The Notes on Political Genesis in Southeast Asia in the 1st Millennium A.D.

Annotation: The article examines the peculiarities of the formation of Indianized states of South-East Asia, analyzes the links between the genesis of power structures and wars and other forms of violence. The main sources are inscriptions in Sanskrit, Old Malay, Old Javanese, and Old Khmer languages. Politogenesis is understood as the formation of power structures, including state structures. The article proves the hypothesis that the key to the formation of a territorial state in the region was the 7th century, when in the local epigraphy notations appeared not only for the entire territory subject to the ruler, but also for individual regions.
