Military cooperation between Vietnam and the US from 2010 to 2015 in the context of the geopolitical situation in the region

Annotation: The article examines the military Vietnam - United States relations between 2010 and 2015 in relation to the current geopolitical situation in the region. The author considers the main stages of bilateral cooperation during this period and the impact of the South China Sea conflict escalation on the lifting of the arms embargo to Vietnam, as well as possible threats Hanoi might face if it purchases the United States weapons. The author also argues that the cooperation between the two countries in the defense and security spheres is important for obtaining a full picture of regional security perspectives.
