Victory of opposition forces led by Mahathir Mohamad in the 2018 election in Malaysia

Annotation: The article examines the results of the general elections held in Malaysia in May 2018, the collapse of the policy of the National Front, largely due to the corruption of the Najib Razak government and the strengthening of interethnic contradictions in the country, the victory of the Alliance of Hope, led by Mahathir Mohamad, who head the government in 1981-2003, the release of opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim from detention.
