Annotation: The article deals in detail on the reasons of appreciable expansion of economic ties between the countries of SEA and Middle East states. The author believes that the phenomenon is provoked first of all by price dynamics for oil in the world market which has caused appreciable growth of cost of imports from the Middle East countries for SEA partners.
