Annotation: During 40 years since the day when the Soviet Union recognized the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (30 January 1950) the two countries were connected by very close ties of cooperation resulted in establishing of the “ unique phenomenon” in international relations of the time - “the fraternal Soviet-Vietnamese friendship”. It was that very words that characterized cooperation of the two countries in the party and government documents, in political and research papers of the Vietnamese and Soviet authors. The researcher gives new data on the scale of the two countries cooperation, especially in delivery of armaments and military equipment.
