Russian-Vietnamese cooperation in education

Annotation: The paper dwells on the problems of cooperation between the USSR/Russia and Vietnam in education. Since 1951 to the fall of the USSR about 30 000 Vietnamese citizens got higher and secondary specialized education (mainly in technologies). In the last 15 years over 20 000 Vietnamese had graduated from the institutions of higher knowledge. Today more than 6 000 Vietnam students study in Russia. Small number of Vietnamese students in Russian Instituts and Universities has several reasons, one of them being lack of security for the Vietnamese youth in our country.
