Relations of France with the key players in the South-Pacific in the first decades of XXI century

Annotation: The paper dwells on the relations of France that is still one of the key actors in South-Pacific, with traditional regional leaders –Australia, New Zealand, and the US and with China that has been gaining might recently. It is concluded that in near future the policy of France in its South Pacific territories – New Caledonia the French Polynesia, Walles and Futuna islands will remain the same and its regional strategy would base on the block making with its former rivals – Australia, New Zealand and the USA to counter the growing might of China in the region.
