The military coup d’etat in Thailand in 2014 and the prospects for democratization of the society

Annotation: The author in her paper follows the course of the 22st May 2014 military coup and characterizes the political forces supporting the generals. The author analyses the international community’s and foreign countries attitude to the military government. She studies plans to rebuild the political system of the country and the process of the new constitution working out. The political situation in the country is assessed as well as the prospects for its evolution.
