El Shaddai - a new religious movement on the Philippines

Annotation: The article deals with the problems of the contemporary spiritual and religious life of Christian Filipinos, the majority of the almost 90 mln. population of the Philippines, El Shaddai is a part the world's «prosperity movements» based on the principle «wealth and health». The prosperity movements have traditionally been made up of denominational Protestants. But the Philippine El Shaddai and his leader identifying themselves with a Roman Catholic Church. The Movement is politicized and plays a specific role in contemporary Philippine politics.
