Singapore – US relations in the context of regional security in the South China Sea

Annotation: The article analyses the specific features of Singapore - US relations with Singapore notwithstanding its close bilateral military ties with the USA being not ready to become a part of America’s efforts to contain China. This position is justified as reckless focus on the US could not only threaten Singapore - China economic relations but also in case of serious tension or a conflict between China and the US put Singapore in an insecure and potentially dangerous situation.
