Annotation: This article continues to develop the theme of women participation in the political, social and cultural life of Vietnamese society, which was launched within the framework of the project "Women in Vietnam: the role and place in History and in contemporary social and political life" and is devoted to the origins and peculiarities of the formation of the cult of the partisan In Thi Shau (Vietnamese - Võ Thị Sáu) who was executed by the French colonial authorities The biography of the heroine, the prerequisites and the course of the formation of her cult, the problems of its homogeneity and comparison with similar cults of veneration of national heroes, state support of the cult and its instrumental place in the system of state mythology are considered.
