Аннотация: Dr. Marina Osipova's paper entitled «Financial integration in South-East Asia» examines economic strategies of the countries of South-East Asia for the near future in the sphere of financial integration of the region. ASEAN + 3 (South Korea, Japan and China) are moving towards more open financial system. However monetary union makes such rigid requirements for co-ordination of policy and for setting up the necessary institutions, that evidently it will call for clear political will on the part of the Asian countries.
