Russian-Vietnamese relations and the factor of China

Annotation: The article points out that, at the present stage, Russian-Vietnamese relations remain, undoubtedly, an important factor in ensuring peace and security both in the Southeast Asian region and in the Asia-Pacific region as a whole. For Vietnam, these relations are an important part of an independent, multilateral and multi-vector foreign policy. Russia's policy in the APR as a whole remains open and aimed at creating a climate of trust and close interaction with all countries, large and small. Russia has no ideological or other contradictions either with China, or with traditionally friendly Vietnam, or with any other ASEAN countries. The author points out that the most important thing is to establish rules of the game that are acceptable for everyone.
