The Shiites of Indonesia and the problem of inter-confessional intolerance

Annotation: The article is dedicated to the problem of intolerance towards the Shia Muslims of Indonesia. The author notes that despite the fact that officially Indonesia is a country with a high degree of tolerance, often the Shiite minority of this country is attacked by radical representatives of other Islamic movements. The authorities of the state, for their part, strive for preserving harmony in inter-confessional relations. The activation in Indonesia of the ISIS for which the Shiites are enemies also causes considerable concern.
