A new stage of friendly Russian-Philippine relations

Annotation: The paper is a brief review of the development of Russian-Philippine relations at a new stage amid changes in Philippine foreign policy with the assumption of the new President of the Republic, Rodrigo Duterte, on June 30, 2016. New tendencies in building relations between the Philippines and Russia, China and the United States under the changed conditions are analyzed. The reaction of Filipino citizens to the policy of the President is considered, statistical data on the image of Russia among Filipinos and the level of their confidence in Russia are given. A forecast is given for possible mutually beneficial cooperation on the basis of all the agreements between the two countries at this stage.
