The "Philippine Response" to US Educational Policy (1900-1946)

Annotation: The best way to subdue the colonized population is to win their minds. Americans perfectly understood that a military victory is not a guarantee of the successful construction of a peaceful life in the Philippines, which was necessary for achieving economic goals. Education has become part of the policy of "pacification". Already quite a lot is known about what the pro-American education system in the Philippines was and what the goals of the new colonial authorities were. However, it remains an open question how the Filipinos themselves treated the innovations and how they preferred to use the opportunities that were opening before them.
