Tension in the South China Sea Remains

Annotation: The paper states that the situation in the disputed areas of the SCS has become more calm. Incidents in the SCS are less frequent, but do not stop, especially in the area of the Paracel Islands. The author points out that the tension in the region may arise with new force and at a higher level due to the ongoing rivalry between the US and China, which does not stop and leads to a noticeable increase in the military presence of the naval forces of the parties in the region.
