Economic strategy of the new government of Myanmar: preliminary results

Annotation: In the article the author makes an attempt to sum up the preliminary results of economic reforms for the first half of the term of the new NLD government. Over the past two and a half years, the government has passed several new and improved some old laws aimed at general economic liberalization. But despite the active law-making and high growth rates as a whole, there is a decline in some sectors of the economy and a reduction in the flow of foreign investment. The author of the article shows the attempts of the country's leadership to solve these negative phenomena.
