Singapore: The Problem of Water Supply and Ways to Solve It
ЮГО-ВОСТОЧНАЯ АЗИЯ: АКТУАЛЬНЫЕ ПРОБЛЕМЫ РАЗВИТИЯ, 2018, №3(40), 158-168
Annotation: Over the years of independence, Singapore has been able to significantly reduce the need for water imports through the introduction of advanced technological approaches and the implementation of effective and flexible water management policies. Over the past 50 years, Singapore has developed a reliable and diversified water supply system known as the «four national taps» - water from reservoirs, desalinated, regenerated and imported water. However, despite the high efficiency of the water sector, the problem of meeting the growing demand for water and, as a result, increasing amount of wastewater in need of treatment remains urgent.
