Southeast Asia and the Middle East: the Models of Multilateral Cooperation

Annotation: The paper reveals specifics of multilateral cooperation in Southeast Asia and the Middle East from the perspective of the mega-projects: the Belt and Road Initiative, the Greater Eurasian Partnership and the Indo-Pacific Region. On revealing the state of multilateral dialogue, the authors define the degree of readiness of the reviewed countries to deepen these processes. The authors argue that currently the prerequisites for the full-fledged involvement of Southeast Asia and the Middle East in the trans-continental mega-projects are presented insufficiently.
