Singapore before and after Lee Kuan Yew: the way from “a small red point on the map” to a prosperous state

Annotation: The author made a comparative analysis of the changes in the economy and social sphere of Singapore during the reign of Lee Kuan Yew from independence of this country to the present moment. The effective reforms that turned the poor port city into a prosperous state, one of the largest financial and trade centers in the world with a high standard of living and comfortable conditions for doing business are shown. The author revealed numerous risks and challenges faced by Singapore.
