Southeast Asia Facing the Challenges of Indo-Pacific Concepts

Annotation: Throughout the past decade several countries have proposed their own concepts of the Indo-Pacific region. These concepts vary in terms of their normative, political, strategic and economic features. Howeverб the majority of them challenge the existing regional institutional structure centered around ASEAN. The proposed article analyzes the main features of five Indo-Pacific concepts (Indonesian, Indian, Japanese, Australian, and American) and their challenges to Southeast Asia.
