Influence of religious and political factors on the foreign policy of Indonesia during the presidency of Joko Widodo

Annotation: Religious and political factors throughout the history of Indonesian society have had a significant impact on all aspects of its life. At the same time, after the approval of the national ideology of "Pancha Sila" in 1945, Indonesia adhered to the idea of a balance between secular and religious principles in foreign and domestic policy. The article discusses the role of religious factors in the formation of foreign policy of the current Indonesian President Joko Widodo. Also, the author attempts to show the influence of the internal political religion situation on the decisions of Indonesian elites.
