Influence of Asymmetries in Mirror Statistics on International Trade Network Models of Southeast Asian Countries
ЮГО-ВОСТОЧНАЯ АЗИЯ: АКТУАЛЬНЫЕ ПРОБЛЕМЫ РАЗВИТИЯ, 2019, №3(44), 57-70
Annotation: The international community has been actively engaged in improving the quality of economic data for ages, but so far, all the databases available now have some problems. Thus, researchers need to precisely justify their choice of sources and methods while conducting research. In this paper, we examine how asymmetries in mirror statistics can affect network models of international trade. To demonstrate potential effects, we present three standard centrality indices for Southeast Asian countries, which were calculated based on data provided by the UN, IMF, and OECD.
