Ramon Magsaysay educational course: community schools as a key to the formation of national identity (1954-1957)

Annotation: The article provides a rationale for the thesis that community schools that spontaneously emerged in the Philippines on the eve of the Second World War and were taken care of personally by President Ramon Magsaysay in the 1950s marked the beginning of the formation of the national education system and became the catalyst for the process of “Philippinization of education” after long decades of colonial dependence.
