The publicist Fan Khoy (1887–1959) and the women's issue in Vietnam in the first half of the 20th century

Annotation: The article illustrates the approaches of the national intellectual elite of the first half of the 20th century to the "women's issue" taking as an example the study of the work of the famous Vietnamese publicist Fan Khoy. The main components of this issue are identified, their interpretation proposed by this activist is analyzed, the virtues and shortcomings of his work are shown, his contribution to the development of women's subjects in Vietnamese public thought is evaluated. The source material for the article was the numerous publications of Fan Khoy in the Vietnamese press of the 1920-1930s.
