Filipino Fiesta and Its Significance in Filipino Culture

Annotation: This paper gives a brief description of a typical Filipino fiesta, describes standard process of traditional Filipino fiesta in any region of the country. Some examples of religious fiestas and fertility holidays, as well as some traditional Filipino games, popular among the population and often part of the fiesta, are given. The author writes about cultural and social signifi-cance of the fiesta in Filipino modern life. The paper contains some illustrations, showing the most important Filipino fiestas.
