On the Chinese Origins of the Former Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra

Annotation: The article is dedicated the certain aspects of the biography of Thaksin Shinawatra – a former Prime-Minister of Thailand (2001–2006) and one of the wealthiest businessmen in the history of Thailand are described. The history of his family is told from the moment of the arrival of his great-grandfather from China to Thailand, up to the moment when Thaksin was forced to step down from office as a result of the coup d’etat in 2006.
