Annotation: The article provides an overview of the reports of the 7th Scientific and Practical Conference in memory of Alexander Gouber on the topic: "Southeast Asia: Historical Past and Modern Reality", which took place on October 5-6, 2021. Scientists from various academic, research and educational institutions took part in the conference, organized by the Far East and Southeast Asia Department of ISAA MSU. The topics of the reports covered a wide range of issues on the political, socio-economic development of the Southeast Asian countries in a regional context.
