Relations between the State of Israel and the Republic of Indonesia

Annotation: Since its foundation, the State of Israel has viewed Southeast Asia as a potentially beneficial region for cooperation. However, relations with some predominantly Muslim countries in the region remain difficult due to the issue of Palestine. At the same time, Indonesia is pursuing a careful and pragmatic policy towards Israel, not refusing to cooperate with it at all (as Malaysia and Brunei do), but at the same time insisting on the creation of the Palestinian state.
