Myanmar's Military Administration Is Preparing for Elections

Annotation: The article is devoted to the difficult political situation in Myanmar that developed after the February 2021 coup. Earlier, the military administration announced the holding of new elections in 2023. But on the second anniversary of the coup, the extension of the state of emergency was announced for the third time and the impossibility of holding elections on schedule due to instability in the country and lack of control over most of the territory. Special attention is paid in the article to the dissolution by the authorities of the oldest political party, the National League for Democracy.
