The Phenomenon of Political Populism in Indonesia

Annotation: The author made an attempt to answer the question of why in a country with relatively good economic indicators and a legitimate state system, populism has become increasingly influential in politics in recent years. A classification of the current trends of populism in Indonesia is given and the dynamics of their development over time is analyzed. Special attention was paid to the intra-elite interaction between “populist” politicians and establishment politicians.
