Annotation: The article is devoted to the life and activity of one of the most contradictory figure of modern Indonesia, the current Minister of Defence Prabowo Subianto who, at the same time, is one of the most probable candidate for the post of the president which elections must take place in February 2024. The second part of the article covers the period since the second half of 80s of the XX-th century till the middle of 1996.
