Annotation: The article deals with the socio-political and economic situation that has developed in modern Malaysia in 2022 in the post-crisis period, against the background of general instability both in the Southeast Asian region and in the world. The author analyzes the internal political processes in Malaysia connected with the change of prime ministers and the appointment of the well-known oppositionist Anwar Ibrahim to this position.
