Annotation: The article provides an overview of the 44th All-Russian scientific and practical conference dedicated to the South Pacific region, its history, politics, economics and culture, which took place in a mixed format at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences on November 9, 2023. The conference was organized by the Center for Southeast Asia, Australia and Oceania Studies, Institute of Oriental Studies, Russian Academy of Sciences.
