China’s Aid to Pacific Island Countries during the COVID-19 Pandemic: Specific Features

Annotation: This paper analyses China’s aid to Pacific Island counties in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. The author consequently studies the components of this aid: providing vaccines, personal protective equipment, testing kits, thermometers, ventilators and other medical ma-terials and equipment, as well as consulting activities and direct financial aid. Then, the characteristic features of Chinese policy are formulated, and the incentives of Beijing’s actions are emphasized.
