Measures to Facilitate Investment Procedures in ASEAN and their Implementation

Annotation: Recently, world experts have increasingly put forward the thesis that an increase in FDI flows into a country or an integration group of countries is largely ensured by the activities carried out in them to facilitate investment procedures. Of particular interest to the study are those countries (integration groups of countries) that demonstrate successful examples of such activities. These include the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) a regional economic integration group, which is one of the centers of attraction for FDI in the developing world. This article analyzes the activities carried out in ASEAN in the field of investment facilitation. It is revealed that significant work is being carried out in the Association to regulate this area of relations, develop measures to facilitate investment procedures and their implementation. It is concluded that the measures developed in ASEAN to facilitate investment procedures, enshrined in the region-wide policy document, are sufficiently thought out and systematized. However, there are a number of problems in the field of their implementation that need to be addressed.
