Regional Aspect of the 2024 General Elections in Indonesia (Part 1.)

Annotation: The article is devoted to the analysis of the results of the general elections in Indonesia in 2024, regarding the elections of the President – Vice President and members of the Lower House of Parliament - the Council of People's Representatives in a regional context. The first part of the article examines in detail the electoral support of candidates for the highest positions in the state in the provinces and regions of the country, as well as the distribution of parliamentary seats between the parties that they won in the provinces of Sumatra, Java and the Lesser Sunda Islands. This analysis was carried out based on the data set out in the Decree of the Central Election Commission of Indonesia No. 360 – 2024.
