Annotation: There has been an increase in the number of armed conflicts and political crises in recent years, in particular on the African continent. This paper studies the specifics of the Russian Federation's (RF) as well as Asian countries’ activities in the African region within the framework of peacekeeping and existing further prospects. The strengthening of the African vector of the Russian Federation's foreign policy, as well as the activation of neocolonial discourse in African countries actualize this problem. The author analyzes the degree of involvement of the Russian Federation and Asian countries in peacekeeping activities in the region and draws a conclusion about the existing opportunities and limitations in this regard. It has been found that the Russian Federation and Asian states have significant potential in peacekeeping activities in Africa, in particular, in such areas as: direct participation in UN peacekeeping missions, support of peacekeeping missions of African regional and sub-regional organizations by various methods, as well as training of personnel of African missions.
