Annotation: One of the issues that united the interests of the countries of the South Pacific region in the second half of the 20th century was the problem of environmental protection, which became more acute due to regular nuclear weapons tests conducted in the South Pacific by the USA, Great Britain and France. The article analyzes the negative impact of these tests on the environmental state in the Pacific Ocean, and also demonstrates the close relationship between environmental issues and the dynamics of international relations in the regional dimension.
