Digital Logistics Initiatives in Russia–ASEAN Cooperation amid Geo-Economic Transformations, 2020–2024

Annotation: The article examines Russia’s digital logistics initiatives in cooperation with ASEAN countries during the period of major geoeconomic shifts from 2020 to 2024. The study aims to assess the scale and nature of digital transformation in logistics at the interregional level, identify institutional and technical constraints, and explore the prospects for further integration. The analysis focuses on projects involving the use of digital platforms, blockchain solutions, and single window systems, including the Vladivostok–Laem Chabang logistics corridor. The study finds that, despite sanctions and fragmentation of digital standards, Russia has remained actively engaged in developing technological solutions to optimize trade with Southeast Asian countries. ASEAN’s decision in 2024 to grant Russia digital partner status underscores the shared commitment to deepening high-tech cooperation. The article concludes that regulatory alignment and overcoming technical hurdles are essential to unlocking the full potential of logistics cooperation between Russia and ASEAN.
