U.S. Public Diplomacy in Vietnam: The Fulbright Program

Annotation: The article presents a comprehensive analysis of the Fulbright Program as an instrument of U.S. public diplomacy in Vietnam. The study aims to examine the program’s activities and assess its role and effectiveness in Vietnam. Drawing on this analysis, the author concludes that the Fulbright Program constitutes one of the most effective mechanisms of American public diplomacy in the country. It contributes to forming a positive image of the United States among the Vietnamese public, enhances mutual understanding and bilateral cooperation, and provides additional opportunities for the United States to advance its interests.
