Thailand’s Experience in the Development of Hydrogen Energy

Annotation: The Thai government has committed to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050 and zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2065. Hydrogen energy, which is at an early stage of development, can play a significant role in this. In the proposed article, a study of the state of the hydrogen market in Thailand is conducted. Despite the remaining problems (in particular, the high cost of hydrogen, lack of investment resources, insufficient government support, underestimation of the importance of hydrogen energy in ensuring the country's energy security), there are considerable prospects for the development of hydrogen energy, including large reserves of renewable energy sources and the possibility of constructing production facilities in their places of concentration, the projected increase in the competitiveness of hydrogen, and also the importance of hydrogen in solving the problems of sustainable development.
