Annotation: The article examines the changing geopolitics of Southeast Asia and the correlation of this process with the practical policies of the countries in this region. It is shown that a common understanding of the need for unity and political integrity allows the countries of Southeast Asia to adequately respond to the changing political landscape and play an independent role in the ongoing changes.
