James Cook in New Zealand. The Dawn of the Colonization

Annotation: This article considers such an aspect of the first round-the-world voyage of James Cook, like it’s focus on the future colonization of the South Pacific. There are directions from the Admiralty’s Instruction and quotes from Cook’s own journal in which the future conquest of the new-discovered lands is considered. James Cook appears here as the man of his severe time, British officer and bearer of the ideas modern for him.
