Annotation: А.S. Voronin analyses the Russian-Vietnamese relations which entered the new phase in 2001, since the Declaration on Strategic Partnership as well as other documents were signed. Based on mutual understanding and due regard to national interests of each other the relations of strategic partnership between Russia and Vietnam are gaining momentum. They play a significant role in the system of international relations in South-East Asia as well as in the Asia-Pacific region as a whole.
