Annotation: Dr. Galina Murasheva's paper is devoted to the Vietnam-Japan relationship which assumed new quality in 2009. In the cause of the visit to Japan of the CPV Central Committee General Secretary Nong Duk Man the countries signed the Joint Declaration on development of the strategic partnership for peace and prosperity in Asia. The framework of a strategic partnership of the countries calls for a wide range of cooperation including such spheres as trade and economy, technology, culture, education, manpower development as well as military cooperation in security matters. Any individual case of strategic partnership has its own characteristic features.
