Annotation: The paper attempts to reconstruct the biography of A.L. Nazimova (1899-1973), who for a long time had been working in the Comintern structures. She was a pioneer of practical study of the then French colony of Indochina in our country; she laid the foundation for research and academic discipline of Vietnam studies in our country. Many of the facts introduced by the author into scientific circulation for the first time.
