Annotation: The elections to the Federal Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia, held in September 2013, brought to power coalition of the Liberal and National parties. In this connection of great interest is the personality of the leader of the liberals Anthony John Abbott, who became the prime minister of the country. His short biography, personal traits and characteristic features as a politician are also given. The author shows his way upward from a public activist and journalist to the top power in the Commonwealth of Australia. She analyses the reasons for the victory of the coalition of the parties at the 2013 elections as well as the problems already facing the vinners.
