Annotation: Dr. A. Popov’s paper presents a comprehensive view of Indonesian province of Nusa Tengarra, including short historical sketch and description of geographic and climate features. The author provides information on the main ethnic groups. Peculiarities of religious beliefs of local population and their customs are also covered.
